Abstract/Summary

This research is about the problem regarding Third Party Logistics' (3PL) service alignment considering the different requirements among the different echelons in the supply chain. Different characteristics of these echelons suggest customization with regards to the distribution service programs of the 3PL. The differences among each echelon will be assessed using a survey. Data analysis is split into two: one when the RRL concepts are retained, another when new factors are created. Cronbach's Alpha, Redundancy Analysis and Structural Equation Modeling are the statistical tools used to analyze the data when the RRL concepts are retained. Principal Component Analysis, Factor Loading and Structural Equation Modeling are the statistical tools used if new factors are created. The results would give the significant service quality dimensions for each echelon. This gives rise to the restructuring of the 3PL's service strategy so that they can give customized service to each echolon. The structural equation model is used to choose the best service strategies which would be used on the formulation of a general strategy that is aligned with the different requirements among the different echelons in the supply chain.
