Abstract/Summary
There are construction estimating software already available in the market and mostly are produced in the United States. However, these are complicated and hard to understand for first time users and those who do not have background in estimating. The purpose of this study is to be able to develop a user friendly estimating software that is easy to understand especially for those who don't have a background in estimating the construction materials and make sure that it is applicable and could be used in the country. The applicability of the software in the country is determined with the help of people who are knowledgeable about construction estimating such as civil engineers, contractors and architects. The program developed can estimate basic elements in construction such as beams, columns, CHB walls and slabs which are the most important parts of a building. Based on the surveys conducted, the people agreed that the software is useful in construction estimating but suggests further development so that it can be used to estimate a whole and big construction projects.
