Abstract/Summary
The study is entitled, The Types of Relationships Formed Among Women Inmates in the Correctional Institution for Women. The statement of the problem are, What are the relationships formed? , and How are the relationships formed? . The researchers constructed an interview guide, and interviewed fifteen women respondents of Correctional Institution for Women. The results indicated that the pseudofamilial relationship is the dominant form of relationship among women inmates. This is characterized by mother-daughter and sibling relationship. Moreover, the process of relationship formation (conceptual framework) was found applicable by relationships formation among women inmates in CTW. The process comprised the entry stage, exploratory stage, stable stage, and exit stage.
