Abstract/Summary
Email is a fast and easy-to-use way to communicate with lots of people. It is like an efficient and free post office. Even better, you can send multiple letters back and forth to friends and family many times in just one day. Because of its flexibility, the need for its accessibility increased. Electronic communication has been used for several years now and accessing it requires special electronic gadgets. But these days devices like cellphones, laptops and computers are easily available in the market. Taking into account the current economic status of our country, most of the public are not privileged enough to acquire themselves such gadgets.
The thesis basically aims to improve the use of the simplicity of the telephone handset incorporating it to the emerging speech technology. The telephone has been a special tool for communications and it is common to every household in our country today.
With the system developed in thesis, one can easily retrieve his own email using the ordinary telephone handset. Through speech technology, you will h ear your email messages conveyed to you over the telephone handsets.
