Abstract/Summary
In today's trend of continuous industrial progress, manufacturing companies need tools that can assist in striving to achieve true world class manufacturing. These tools, once developed and implemented, could help in coping up with the demands for productivity and quality enhancement. It has always been a rule in almost all manufacturing systems to have means and ways for improvement.
This paper identifies the best way to cope with the pressures and constraints of wrapping palletized loads. One of the main problems in manufacturing is preventing packaged goods from being damaged by external elements. The role of packaging is to protect these manufactured goods. Thus, the solution is to provide means of implementing sophisticated machines such as a robot packaging machine. The basic elements to successfully implement will be discussed in details. The end result is a continuous improvement in the packaging department of the manufacturing systems.
