Abstract / Executive Summary
This study examined the effects of entrepreneurial skills on the career pathing of Grade 12 students at Taytay Senior High School. Specifically, it determined the demographic profile of the respondents, assessed the level of entrepreneurial skills in terms of creativity and innovation, financial management skills, opportunity seeking, and risk-taking, and examined the relationship between entrepreneurial skills and students’ career pathing. The respondents consisted of 75 Grade 12 students from various strands, with the majority aged 16-18 years old and a higher proportion of female participants. Data were gathered using a researcher-made questionnaire and analyzed through descriptive statistics and correlational analysis. Findings revealed that entrepreneurial skills were highly evident among the respondents with creativity and innovation obtaining the highest mean (3.57), followed by financial management skills (3.51), opportunity seeking (3.49), and risk-taking (3.39). The overall mean of 3.49 indicated that entrepreneurial skills have a strong influence on students’ career pathing. The study concludes that entrepreneurial skills play a significant role in shaping the career pathing of Grade 12 students, highlighting the importance of strengthening entrepreneurship education to prepare students for future career and entrepreneurial opportunities.
