Abstract
The study looks at poverty assessment from two different levels: (1) poverty measurement in a single point in time (exploring the responsiveness of poverty to growth and redistribution) and (2) decomposition of poverty changes to examine the actual response of poverty to changes in growth and redistribution. This investigation, which looks into the growth and distribution impacts of poverty differences, provides a peek into the interaction of changes, possible options and targets for poverty alleviation programs.
