Abstract
THE ARTICLE DWELLS on the provisions of the 1987 Constitution enunciating economic policies that Filipinos, singly or collectively, have to reckon with when they go into business. Emphasis has been placed on the inherent right of the government to regulate, by the exercise of its police power, the enjoyment by a private individual of his property under the Constitution. As it is, the Constitution strikes a happy medium between legally protected private rights and the interests of the state geared at instilling order in business activities.
