The Asia-Pacific Social Science Review observes the best practices in scholarly publishing and observes the following:
Editorial Integrity: The editors ensures that integrity of the peer-review process, ensuring scholarly rigor and fairness.
Expert Reviewers: The reviewers are qualified scholars in their respective fields and committed to maintaining confidentiality throughout the review process.
Authorship Criteria: Authorship of any manuscript should only include individuals who contributed to the submission. The final approval of the manuscript will be conducted by the corresponding author, who will ensure that accuracy of the content and adherence to scholarly standards.
Ethical Considerations: Submissions involving human subjects may be required to provide institutional ethics clearance, which safeguards the welfare of the participants.
Conflict of Interest Disclosure: The authors must declare any potential conflict of interests in their submissions.
Publication Misconduct: The journal treats allegation of publication misconduct seriously and have processes to deal with such.
Peer Review Policy
The Asia-Pacific Social Science Review implements a rigorous double-blind peer review process in line with internationally recognized standards of academic publishing. All manuscripts submitted to the journal undergo initial screening by the editorial team to assess relevance, originality, and adherence to submission guidelines. Submissions that meet these criteria are then anonymized and sent to at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field.
Both the authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review process to ensure objectivity and eliminate potential bias.
The journal is committed to maintaining an efficient and transparent review workflow. The average time from submission to initial decision is approximately two to four months. Manuscripts requiring revision are typically processed within 30 days following resubmission. Accepted articles are published in a timely manner within scheduled issues. The editorial team actively monitors peer review timelines to ensure timely publication and high editorial standards.
