Open Access, Copyright, and Licensing Policy

Open Access Statement

The Asia Pacific Social Science Review provides open access to all its published content. The APSSR does not charge subscription fees; readers may access, read, download, copy, print, or link to the full text of all articles for non-commercial purposes.

Copyright Terms

Beginning with Volume 25, Issue 4 onwards, authors retain full copyright ownership of their published work. This includes the right to download, reproduce, adapt, revise, prepare derivative works, distribute, and present the article in any format, subject to the terms outlined in APSSR’s Copyright Agreement. Retained rights ensure that authors continue to exercise full control over the use and dissemination of their scholarship.

Licensing Terms

All articles published in APSSR are released under a Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license. This license permits users to reproduce, share, post, transmit, or otherwise distribute the article or its contents in any medium, provided that:

• use is strictly non-commercial,
• proper attribution is given to the author(s), and
• the original work is not misrepresented.

Any commercial use, redistribution, or reproduction requires prior written permission from the author(s) as the copyright holders.
