About the Social Development Research Center (SDRC)
Established in 1979, the Social Development Research Center (SDRC) is the
oldest research center of De La Salle University (DLSU) and a recognized
leader in policy-relevant, community-based research in the Philippines.
The Center leads work in three core research thrusts: Public Health, Vulnerable Populations, and Program Monitoring and Evaluation.
Over the years, SDRC has built a strong track record in managing large, multisite, and externally funded projects. It supports every phase of the research cycle from proposal development and implementation to dissemination and advocacy. It also actively mentors emerging scholars and promotes interdisciplinary partnerships across DLSU and beyond.
SDRC on Animo Repository
This platform houses SDRC’s digital archives, making publicly available its published books, policy reports, research magazines (e.g., Talking Points), newsletters (e.g., SDRC Update), and other knowledge products. The repository ensures long-term access to SDRC’s contributions to evidence-based policy and community development.
