Abstract
There is growing need in the Philippines for an effective tool for disaster monitoring. One tool that can be used is a remotely piloted aerial reconnaissance vehicle based on a hybrid airship design. In a hybrid airship, the weight of the craft and its payload are supported by both aerostatic- and aerodynamic lift forces. The combination of aerodynamic and aerostatic lift is an attempt to create a craft that combines the speed of aerodynamic craft with the lifting capacity of aerostatic craft.
