Abstract
Thrips specimens studied were collected from Palawan and Mt. Pangasugan, Leyte while those from Indonesia were collected from Sulawesi. Findings showed that Marcothalmothrips quadricolor Karny exhibited genetically controlled variation as expressed in sexual dimorphism and male polymorphism, and ecological variation as expressed in allometric growth of antennal segments, forefemora and subapical tooth of forefemur in large males.
