Abstract
This study, which employed both quantitative and qualitative methods, investigated three key areas. First, it examined the various categories of lifestyle wellness of Miriam College employees across academic units and employee groups. Second, it looked into employee utilization of the different programs offered by ILAW Center in a period of three years. Third, it investigated employees’ perception of ILAW Center – its strengths, areas for improvement, and the factors that helped and hindered employees in utilizing ILAW programs and services.
The results of the study indicated that ILAW Center, to a certain extent, was able to address the various wellness dimensions of its employee. It has fostered work life balance and the holistic development of Miriam College employees. Results also revealed that customer service, program offerings and management practices are factors that help in employees’ utilization of ILAW Center’s services. In contrast, heavy workload, office schedules and family obligations were primarily considered as the factors that prevent employees from utilizing ILAW Center services.
