Abstract
Intelligent Building technologies are ubiquitous and able to perform complex coordinated control function based on a programmed behavior or in response to an external input within the building or via the Internet. Multi agent systems were used for learning individual preference of occupants and to control building management system for optimum energy utilization based on these preferences. In this paper, we review the research on MAS technology in the Intelligent Building domain. We then propose a MAS architecture where agent from the software medium can be migrated into the hardware medium.
