Abstract
A training needs assessment has been undertaken to develop a training program for the Student Representative Pool (SRP) Program. Experiences of senior SRP members are also documented in order to gain qualitative information on the training needs. This initial undertaking provides a baseline from where further assessment and evaluation of the program may be done. Vital to the implementation of this program is the performance of the student representatives, thus, this incorporates concepts on student development and involvement in the student disciplinary processes.
