Abstract
The SPS Director's Council Planning Workshop was conducted from January 27 to 28, 2011 in Balay lndang, Cavite. The activity was participated by eleven (10) SPS Directors and Vice Dean. Ms. Fritzie Ian De Vera, Dean of Student Affairs, facilitated the workshop (See Annex A List of Participants)
The two-day workshop was designed to evaluate Academic Year 2010-2011 in reference to the targets and directions set during the start of the school year. With the identified gaps, action plans were formulated to address the remaining tasks for the current academic year. Further, the workshop also provided venue to identify five-year (2011-201) Strategic Initiatives and Targets that are aligned with the measures and objectives of the DLSU. Other important concerns were also discussed during this activity.
Outputs of the planning workshop highlighted the following:
- Assessment of target activities of AY 2010-2011. Planned activities were generally accomplished that strengthened various Lasallian Formation and Action programs of SPS, enhanced capacities and collaboration between and among the members SPS to be effective Lasallian formators and established internal and external linkages to build a community of faith and shared leadership;
- Reviewed DLSU Vision-Mission and anchored it with SPS's Vision, Mission, Values, Core Competencies, Functions, Structure and Strategic Objectives;
- Formulated SPS Strategic Initiatives/Targets (2011-2016);
- Finalized SPS and other offices name; and
- Identified Target Activities for the remaining 3rdTerm (2010-2011)
