Abstract
The lighthouse of Cape Bojeador stands on the northern coast of Luzon Island in the Philippines, in the town of Burgos, Ilocos Norte. Its sole caretaker is a third-generation lighthouse keeper hoping to see a fourth-generation keeper take over his post. His son may have other plans, however.
The tension between tradition, continuity, and stasis on the one hand, and progress, modernity, and change on the other, lies at the heart of this quiet drama centering on a historic landmark and one of the loneliest job.
