Abstract
One of the goals of EUCLOCK is to facilitate an efficient networking of EUCLOCK researchers by building a comprehensive information system which will be actively and effectively used by the group and evolve to support the worldwide community of chronobiologists. With such a reliable and effective system, complexities in information exchange among the biologists would be minimized. The EUClock Information System (EUCLIS) aims to provide a suitable infrastructure for inter-communication, implicit or explicit information sharing, and secured data storage. EUCLIS aims to support the cooperative work of researchers, both experimental processes (storage of results, methodological annotation, accessibility, appropriate visualization tools) as well as modelling of circadian systems. Experimenters and modellers can base their work on common basis of components containing diverse information, including clock genes catalogue, internal and external references, multimedia data and software tools.
