Abstract

The paper studied the attitudinal factors that could affect the implementation of a cycling policy in the University of the Philippines (UP) campus in Quezon City, Philippines. Importance is given to the study of attitudes and perceptions as part of the overall transportation planning process. A total of 467 students responded in the questionnaire survey and both qualitative and quantitative (statistical tests of significance) data analyses were employed. The results reveal that support of a cycling policy translates to the actual sue of bicycles and related facilities if ever built in UP.
