Abstract
The changes in chemical shift positions of a marine furanoverticillane diterpenoid 1 isolated from Cespitularia erecta, with (Eu(fod)3 indicate that binding with the carbonyl oxygen is preferred over the furan. The stronger effects on the protons on C7 and C10 are consistent with a simplified 3D-optimized structure generated by the ACD/ChemSkecth freeware
