Abstract
This research study would like to find out through ethnoarchaeology and ethnoscience approach whether the Manobo indigenous group is someway connected with the construction of the Butuan boats or balangays found in Butuan City in 1970s. Some people believe that the Manobos are the earliest settlers of the area. So far, there is no in-depth studies printed using ethnoscience about their activities and technology at that time and even in the recent past.
