Abstract

Audiovisual collection is a special collection in a library because of its format. Audiovisuals provide an alternative strategy in the teaching-learning process between faculty and students. Three years ago, an assessment of the DLSU audiovisual collection was done by Ms. Marita Valerio. The said study presented the inadequacy of the collection in terms of number and insufficiency in terms of usage. The reorganization of the University Library which greatly affected the management of the audiovisual collection calls for a revisit on the said collection to see if recommendations made by Valerio in her earlier study was done, and investigate the impact of the changes infused to the Systems Services, which holds the audiovisual collection.
