Abstract
Water and wastewater services are essential utilities in industrial parks. However, in many parts of the world, pressure from climate change, resource depletion, and economic growth results in water stress that can affect operations of industrial systems. The theme of this Virtual Special Issue (VSI) is to introduce interdisciplinary contributions to discuss topics related to sustainable water management in industrial parks. Rigorous conceptual, analytical, and quantitative approaches are needed in order to support such management efforts by eco-industrial park (EIP) managers, policy makers, process engineers, scientists, and other professionals. Management and continuous optimization of industrial water use are essential climate change adaptation strategies to achieve sustainable growth. © 2019 Elsevier B.V.
