Abstract
The whole world worries about the predicament of our planet. Documentaries such as the Inconvenient Truth and 11th Hour focused on global warming issues and possible solutions to the climate crisis. In 2009, the Philippines experienced the effect of climate change when typhoon Ketsana struck severely flooding Metro Manila. During this disaster, many people died from drowning and much was lost in terms of properties and resources. The effects of the typhoon did not discriminate anybody. Rich and poor alike were devastated in the same manner. It was an eye-opener for policy makers and private institutions to act and reverse the effects of the climate crisis. © 2011 by Taylor and Francis Group, LLC.
