Abstract
Chemical investigations of the dichloromethane extracts of Pipturus arborescens afforded ursolic acid (1), oleanolic acid (2), friedelin (3), β-sitosterol (4), and stigmasterol (5) from the twigs; while the leaves yielded 4, 5, squalene (6), chlorophyll a (7), and polyprenol (8). The structures of 1-8 were identified by comparison of their 1H and/or 13C NMR data with those reported in the literature.
