Abstract
Chemical investigation of dichloromethane extract of moss Macromitrium orthostichum Nees ex Schwägr. has led to the isolation of zeorin (1), atranorin (2) and a mixture of β-sitosterol (3) and stigmasterol (4) in about 1:1 ratio. The structure of compound 1 was elucidated by extensive 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopy, while compounds 2-4 were identified by comparison of their NMR data with literature data. © 2019 Chemical Publishing Co..
