Abstract

Nagdisenyo ang awtor ng modelong mnemonic na K-U-L-T-U-R-A bilang saliksik-instrumento gayundin bilang balangkas konseptuwal upang tukuyin ang mga palatandaan ng likas-kayang kultura ng partikular na grupo kaugnay ng disaster. Layunin ng papel na mailarawan ang modelong mnemonic at kung paano ito ginamit sa pananaliksik tungkol sa kultura at disaster na may tuon sa kababaihan at mga bata bilang bulnerableng mga sektor sa panahon nang matagalang pagbaha sa lokal na pamayanan.

The author designed a mnemonic model K-U-L-T-U-R-A as a research tool as well as a conceptual framework to determine the indicators of sustainable culture of a specific group in relation to disaster. The paper aims to describe the mnemonic model and how it was utilized in conducting research on culture and disaster focusing on women and children as vulnerable sectors during prolonged flooding in a local community.
