Abstract
Membrane computing conceptualizes computing models from living cells. Originally, membrane computing was proposed to work on computability in which theoretical formal language was used as well as membranes of living cells as a parallel computing system that is able to solve intractable problems. Although, in last few years several researchers focused on application of membrane computing and applied it on different fields, a few researchers paid attention to theoretical part. Since membrane computing models computations, it is proper to talk about computation, especially basic computations. This research focuses on basic computations in membrane computing. The research explains how addition, subtraction, multiplication and division are done in membrane computing following rules already existed. Although transaction of addition is free of complication, other transactions – especially division, are complicated. This research explains all levels in each transaction in details.
