Abstract

This study seeks to determine the prevalence and types of addiction among students enrolled in universities within Metro Manila. Using the Screener for Substance and Behavioral Addictions - Generalized (SSBA-G), the research aims to identify which form of addiction—substance or behavioral— is most common among students. The study will employ a quantitative descriptive design and gather data from randomly selected participants aged 18 and above across different universities in Metro Manila. The findings will serve as baseline data to guide the creation of future prevention and intervention programs addressing addiction-related risks within higher education communities.
