Abstract
This is an applied research to solve a current problem encountered by social enterprises and their constituents on how to raise funds for their projects. Social enterprises are entrepreneurial organizations that innovate to solve problems of providing poor people of basic food necessities, primary health care and safe cleaning products and include both non profit and for profit organizations. A framework was presented on how to evaluate the five sources of funding for social enterprises and the initial discussions on how to establish a rating mechanism for social enterprise projects as a prelude to a social enterprise capital market.
