Abstract
In this study, I examined the relationship between entrepreneurship and poverty in the Philippines. I estimated a causal model to examine mobility into and out of poverty in the Philippines using repeated cross-sections analysis. Several factors were included in the model to measure the effect on poverty mobility but I focused on economic factor entrepreneurship. Findings show that entrepreneurship decreases the likelihood of a household of becoming poor. I have also found that entrepreneurship has positive marginal effects on upward poverty mobility. Hence, policy implications are generated to promote entrepreneurship.
