Abstract

While numerous past researches have identified success factors unique to Chinese entrepreneurs, few have investigated success factors across generations, particularly of the overseas Chinese entrepreneurs. This study identified the similarities and differences in entrepreneurship styles among 2nd, 3rd, and 4th generation overseas Chinese in the Philippines. Purposive sampling was utilized to select respondents for the study. Semi-structured interviews and the survey instrument developed by Chavez (2000) were used to assess respondents' entrepreneurial styles, divided into entrepreneurial characteristics, leadership styles, and value orientation
