Abstract

A short expedition to Mt. Halcom last April 2004 was conducted with the main objective of photo-documenting the summit flora. Having had the opportunity to study the flora and ecology on the northeastern summit zone, i.e. 1,950 m asl to the peak, in 1994 & 1995, and having gone across previous botanical accounts re Mt. Halcon, I am much obliged to expressed these concerns re its present condition and as a Mindoreño, humbly make urgent appeals for its conservation.
