Abstract
Transportation in certain cities in the Philippines has always been a problem. Electric bicycles (e-bikes) have emerged as a new transportation mode, their role in transportation systems and their impact on users have become important issues for engineers. This research improves on existing pedal-assist technologies by implementing a smart motor controller that uses an alternative model-based algorithm for controlling a dedal-assisted bike.
