Abstract
This paper presents a classroom monitoring and control system. The system is capable of maintaining and controlling the classroom air-conditioners and lighting equipment using a classroom monitoring and control unit. The equipments inside the classroom are also controlled by a PC-based base station. The turning on and off of classroom equipment is based on a database of schedules implemented in the base station. The classroom stations communicate with each other and the base station wirelessly using Zigbee as wireless communication protocol.
