Abstract
Service Robots are used to aid people in different tasks from simple activities at home to work in hazardous environments. The number of possible activities that these robots can do increase with the advancement of technology. Other fields of study such as Digital Signal Processing and Image Processing allow service robots to perform tasks that require more intelligence such as pattern identification and recognition. In this paper, the group presents an autonomous delivery system that uses image processing techniques on a floor plan to determine its path of travel and on environmental markers to determine whether or not it reached its correct destination. The system is accessible via a webpage on a local network and the deliveries handled by a server program. The characterization of the system and the performance of its operation are presented here as well.
