Abstract
The mast data obtained from wind power potential site in Bayog Burgos, Ilocos Norte were analyzed to determine the estimated annual net energy production, Statistical estimation methods were used to calculate the probability density function and cumulative distribution function of wind regime. These statistical methods were adopted to predict the Weibull parameters and to estimate the energy yield.
Commercial software for wind resource assessment such as WAsP was also used to perform numerical calculation that generates an observed wind climate report and to verify the predicted annual net energy production.
