Abstract
The ipil-ipil (Leucaena leucocephala) infestation problem is simple when viewed from the plant-pest interaction. After all, the plant can recover during rainy season when the psyllid population is reduced to the lowest. However, from the point of view of the diverse uses of ipil-ipil, the problem has broad implications. Considered below are direct and indirect effects of psyllid infestation on ipil-ipil in the Philippine setting.
