Abstract
Chemical investigation of the dichloromethane extract of Caulerpa racemosa (Forsskal) J. Agardh led to the isolation of 1-eicosapentaenoyl-2-linolenoyl-3-galactosylglycerol (1), β-sitosterol (2), chlorophyll a (3) and unsaturated hydrocarbons. The structure of 1 was elucidated by extensive 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopy and confirmed by comparison of its NMR data with literature data.
