Abstract
Chemical investigation of the dichloromethane extract of the roots of Cycas wadei, a plant endemic to the Philippines, led to the isolation of a new isoflavonoid phtoalexin, wadeiol (1) and selin-4(5)-en-1β,11-diol (2). The structures of these compounds were elucidated by extensive 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopy. © 2016, International Journal of Pharmacognosy and Phytochemical Research. All rights reserved.
