Abstract
Scorodocarpus borneensis (Baill.) Becc., a garlic to onion smelling tree, was discovered growing in a secondary lowland forest of Balabac Island in the Palawan Biogeographic Region. The observation represents the first record of the species from the country. Here we provide information on the species habitat, vernacular name, and local use. Comments on its nomenclatural types are also provided.
