Dr. Florentino Timbreza of the Philosophy Department was given the Special Award for Philosophical Research on Filipino Culture, Thoughts and Values by the Lupon sa Gawad ng Diwa ng Lahi at Patnubay ng Sining at Kalinangan of the Manila City's Mayor's Tourism and Cultural Affairs Bureau on the occasion of the 428th Araw ng Maynila.
