Undergraduate thesis by DLSU-Manila's Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE) students won first prize in the 1999 Search for Outstanding Research in Advanced Science and Technology, besting research studies done by graduate students and scientists from public and private institutions. The project was Simulation Tools for Speech Processing.
