As incentives for regular attendance of faculty, the administration decided in 1987 to award prizes annually to the first 5 departments which have perfect attendance record in the preceding school year based on Registrar's Office reports. This was the second year of the award. The 1988 top 5 were: Chemistry, History and Area Studies, Commercial Law, Philosophy and Math.
