DLSU has been named the No. 1 University (tied with UP) in the Philippines and among the most highly regarded universities in Asia, based on a survey of scholars in 50 East Asian universities. The survey findings were the focus of an article Putting Asian Universities on the Map by Albert H. Yee, in the May 5, 1986 issue of the Asian Wall Street Journal.
