Jun Cruz Reyes of the Philippine Studies Department won the grand prize for Tutubi! Tutubi! 'wag Kang Magpahuli sa Mamang Salbahe! in the Filipino novel category of this year's Don Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature. He shared the grand prize with Victor Francisco. Jose Javier Reyes won 3rd prize in the three-act play for his Lamat .
