Description

Dr. Cirilo Bautista, faculty of the Literature Department and literary editor of the Panorama magazine, was adjudged Makata ng Taon '93 when he won first prize in the Tagalog poetry contest sponsored by the Komisyon ng Wikang Pilipino. Bautista's entry was entitled, Ulat Mula sa Bulkan, a long meditative-narrative poem on the Mt. Pinatubo eruption.
