Dr. Josette Talamera Biyo (MS Biology ['89]) was awarded the Intel Excellence in Teaching Award. Biyo was also one of the winners in the search for Outstanding Teacher of the Philippines for Secondary Education of the Metrobank Foundation in 1997 and also the Outstanding Young Filipino Award formerly The Outstanding Young Men (TOYM) Award for Secondary Education in 1998.
