Abstract
This forum tackles the theme of using technology in the evaluation and planning of transport services in the Philippines. Through the research project jointly supported by the Commission on Higher Education and the University Research Coordination Office, the proponents developed various software tools to aid in the evaluation and planning of transport services in Philippine cities. These include data gathering applications for use in transport surveys and a web portal for use in visualizing transport indicators. Potential practical applications of the tools include the evaluation of newly proposed transport infrastructure projects, and data gathering for the preparation of Land Public Transport Route Plans (LPTRP) of local government units. The symposium will begin with a brief presentation and demo by the proponents, followed by a discussion with the project team and external discussants.
